Teams

Invite people to a workspace, assign them to projects, and understand how team access works in Latently.

The team model

Team access has two layers. A person first needs to be an active workspace member. Then an owner or admin can add that workspace member to a specific project.

Workspace membership

Controls who belongs to the workspace and can be considered for project access. Workspace members are managed from Settings > Members.

Project membership

Controls which projects a workspace member can use. Project members can use the source material connected to that project through Latently.

Project-scoped context

Latently keeps customer-visible context scoped to the project. Adding someone to one project does not add them to every project.

AI client access

When a team member connects an AI client, that client can request context for projects the member is allowed to use.

Invite workspace members

  1. 1

    Open members settings

    Go to Settings > Members.

  2. 2

    Send the invite

Enter the person's email address, choose a workspace role, and send the invite email.

  3. 3

    Wait for acceptance

Pending invites appear in the members settings area. You can cancel a pending invite before it is accepted.

  4. 4

    Assign project access

After the person is an active workspace member, open the project Members tab and add them to the project with a project role.

Roles

Workspace owner

Can manage the workspace, billing, workspace members, roles, invites, and project assignments. A workspace has one active owner.

Workspace admin

Can manage workspace members and project assignments, but does not have owner-only controls such as workspace rename and billing ownership.

Workspace member

Can use projects they are assigned to, but cannot manage workspace access.

Project admin

Can manage project members for that project. Project members can use the source material connected to the project.

Project access

  • -

Workspace membership alone does not automatically grant access to every project.

  • -

Project owners and admins can add active workspace members from the project's Members tab.

  • -

Removing someone from a project removes their access to that project but leaves them in the workspace.

  • -

Removing someone from the workspace also removes their access to assigned projects.

  • -

Members can use all source material connected to projects where they have access.

Team billing

  • -

    Team is $14/user/month with a 3-seat minimum.

  • -

Team supports collaborators, shared workspace context, team billing, and unlimited projects.

  • -

    Team has a 100 active-seat cap in V0.1.

  • -

Free and Solo workspaces cannot invite collaborators.
