Connect AI tools

Use Latently project context inside ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, Claude Code, and other remote MCP clients.

How the connection works

After you connect an AI client, the client can call Latently's read-only MCP tools when a conversation needs project context.

    Use Latently's MCP server URL from Settings > AI connections.

  • -

    Approve the connection in Latently when the client redirects you.

  • -

    Prompt with the project name so the client can resolve the right project.

  • -

    Ask the client which sources it used when you need to verify an answer.

Create a Latently app in ChatGPT settings and authorize it with Latently.

Add Latently as a custom remote MCP connector in Claude and approve access.

Add Latently as a remote MCP server using the server URL shown in Settings > AI connections.

Claude Code

Add Latently with the remote HTTP MCP transport, then approve the authorization flow when prompted.

Prompt with a project name

AI clients work best when you are explicit about which Latently project to use. This is especially important if you have several projects with similar source material.
